
Dr. Rushi Parikh is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Cardiology at UCLA. He is an interventional and advanced heart failure cardiologist actively involved clinical research, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Currently funded by an American Heart Association Career Development Award, Dr. Parikh is investigating the role of endothelin-1 in the development of cardiac allograft vasculopathy in heart transplant recipients. He also serves as a co-investigator on a number of clinical trials at UCLA, including COLHEART-19, which is evaluating the impact of the anti-inflammatory drug colchicine on outcomes in patients with COVID-19 and evidence of cardiac injury. Additionally, Dr. Parikh is a scientific advisor to several early-stage medical device and digital health start-up companies, including Stallion Cardio, HeartCloud, and DocVocate.
A graduate of Cornell University, Dr. Parikh earned his medical degree from New York University. He completed his internal medicine residency and advanced heart failure training at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by fellowships in general and interventional cardiology at Stanford University.
