After a year of thoughtful consideration and planning, we are excited to introduce a redesigned, refined and reimagined JACC. This effort is another step in our journey to usher in a new era that honors the past while positioning the journal as a leading beacon to advance global cardiovascular health.

Overview
Advances in digital innovation and data science have seen rapid progress recently and have begun to impact clinical management of cardiovascular diseases. This special issue will highlight the current state of this topical field in research but also direction for impact to clinical management. Interest from a broad range of investigators is envisioned ranging from current research (e.g. data science, artificial intelligence/machine learning, large language/multimodal models) to clinical research (e.g. clinical trials, digital tools, innovation) which are all welcome.
To promote this interesting and promising research in Asia as well as worldwide, JACC: Asia is inviting clinicians, basic and translational scientists working on this field of research to submit their manuscript to JACC: Asia.
近些年来，数字创新与数据科学领域取得了迅猛发展，并已开始对心血管疾病的临床管理产生影响。这期特刊将聚焦这一热点领域的研究现状，同时也会探讨对临床管理产生影响的未来方向。我们期待吸引多个领域研究人员的关注，包括技术领域（如数据科学、人工智能/机器学习、大型语言/多模态模型）到临床研究（如临床试验、数字工具、创新）等各个方面。

How Will This Process Work?
This special issue of JACC: Asia will highlight reviews and original articles that address advances in digital innovation and data science in the field of cardiovascular research and medicine. For algorithm development studies, emphasis will be placed on studies with robust pre-clinical validation with a clear view towards clinical implementation.
这期JACC: Asia特刊将重点收录心血管医学和研究领域的数字创新与数据科学进展的综述和原创文章。对于算法开发研究，将重点关注那些经过严格临床前验证且具有明确临床应用前景的研究。

Interested authors should submit their papers via https://www.jaccsubmit-jaccasia.org on or before November 30, 2025. When submitting, please indicate in your cover letter that you would like your paper considered for the “AI and Innovation” special issue. Publication will be tentatively scheduled for Q1 2026.
